Privacy notice

This page explains how Memtome handles what you put in. Our principle is candor: who can see it, and what control you have.

Who can see your data

Your connected AI provider — when you or your AI runs a query, the relevant content is sent to the AI you connected (ChatGPT, Claude) and is covered by that provider's data terms.

This instance's server — data is stored as plain-text markdown, so the admin can technically read it (like Notion or any hosted service). Unless you authorize it (e.g. for support), Memtome won't look at your content.

What we log

For security and accountability, the app records in-app actions (including reads and queries), visible only to admins. These logs cover access through the app, not direct file access at the server level.

Your control

  • Your data is stored as markdown and can be fully exported at any time.
  • You can start deleting your account yourself at any time: it takes effect after a 7-day delay, you can cancel during it, and no administrator can veto it. On the effective date your account is deleted, your user ID is permanently retired (it can never be registered again), and your personal spaces (including any extra ones you created) are archived and taken out of service — nobody inside Memtome can read them any more. Archived content and backups are cleared under this instance’s retention policy.
  • Keep sensitive material (ID, banking, payroll) out.
